Dean Ornish, MD is renowned for his contributions to preventive
medicine. He recently published the first study showing that "improved
nutrition, stress management techniques, walking, and psychosocial
support actually changed the expression of over 500 genes in men with
early-stage prostate cancer."[i] The research was conducted at the
nonprofit Preventive Medicine Research Institute and the University of
California, San Francisco. Among the collaborators was Dr. Peter
Carroll, co-director of Urologic Cancer at the UCSF Helen Diller Family
Comprehensive Cancer Center and chair of Urology at UCSF.
Dr. Scionti has combined his vast skills and experience in treating over 600 High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) patients along with his unique HIFU techniques to develop the Advanced HIFU Protocol.
